OBJECTIVE
The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for providing expert consulting services to clients with a goal to understand, improve, and optimize the reliability of industrial processes and integrity of equipment in oil & gas facilities (such as refineries, chemical / petrochemical plants, gas production / transportation / distribution / storage facilities, manufacturing facilities) and any process industry facilities (such as energy, water treatment, waste treatment).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform and supervise the performance of formal reliability studies, including RAM studies, supply-chain / maintenance strategy development, and FMEA / FMECA analyses.
- Prepare for, lead, and participate in workshops for HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, etc development with clients.
- Clearly communicate the modeling and workshop results to clients in both formal reports and informal / ad hoc messages and meetings.
- Use experience and well-known modeling processes to develop new models or estimates as needed to solve clients’ problems.
- Understand and be able to use various software packages to complete the calculations required for reliability modeling (e.g. MAROS, GRIF, MIRIAM).
- Aid business development group in identifying new ways BV’s technical capabilities can provide value for customers.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES
- Successfully deliver timely and accurate design review reports to clients.
- Achieve strategic objectives defined by company management.
- Help develop and execute strategic account plans to meet customer needs.
ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
- Reports to the Director of Operation for BVNAM – Energy Technical Center
- Collaborates with the VP of Business Development on proposal preparation for new opportunities utilizing engineering support.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in related Engineering field (Mechanical, Industrial, etc)
- 10+ years of experience in the execution of reliability studies, in the energy sector, petrochemical, and/or oil & gas industries
- Strong knowledge of industrial environment and processes and state of the art technology/apparatus
- Statistical reliability engineering analysis and data modeling analysis preferred
- Strong communication skills to deliver results to people with varying technical backgrounds and make appropriate recommendations as needed
- Analytical ability to modify standard patterns in order to develop new business lines and capabilities
- Project management capability to direct and participate in projects with several consultants and deliverables
- Ability to travel within the US and abroad (about 20%)
