The Sourcing Manager leads the sourcing function on a local and regional level ensuring the best possible combination of spend and value received for all categories of goods and services. You will have regional responsibility for driving competitive category supply strategies to achieve lowest total cost, reduced working capital via negotiation, planning and execution. The Sourcing Manager will report to the VP, Operational Excellence and together with the Sr. Procurement Manger, will define high-impact, long-term supply chain architecture strategies at the regional and operational level and negotiate vendor agreements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Manage various category suppliers and spend.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and internal teams to understand and define future product and business needs. Help establish commercial and technical requirements, scope and criteria.
  • Remain current on market trends with competitors, suppliers, and maintains procurement pipelines with alternative vendors to ensure corporate standards are maintained.
  • Achieve aggressive cost savings targets. In coordination with the Sr. Procurement Manager, minimize or eliminate rogue spending and spend leakage with non-preferred suppliers. Identify and implement improvements to achieve cost savings targets.
  • Develop Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Requests for Information (RFI) in related commodity areas, in collaboration with the Legal team as necessary, to source materials, spare parts, consumables, etc.
  • Identify, negotiate, and implement global and regional supplier contracts.
  • Handle vendor contract negotiations. Negotiate supplier terms & conditions such that key business requirements (cost, price, specification, quality, logistic, legal, reliability) are fulfilled.
  • Build relationships with local, and regional partners to better understand their challenges, concerns, and needs.
  • Continuously look to drive internal improvements to sourcing processes and reporting.
  • Gather and analyze spending data, as well as local, regional, and global market data to ensure competitive pricing through all phases of contract negotiations.
  • Work with Sr. Procurement Manager to develop supply chain risk mitigation strategies.
  • Consistently provide feedback to upper management regarding status of projects, activities and/or initiatives.
  • Accountable for the day to day activity related to new vendors within the Flex System.
  • Support all integration initiatives to ensure acquisitions are engaged and adopt national agreements.
  • Accountable for Global Initiatives driven by HO as assigned by his/ her direct supervisor.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent business/work experience.
  • 7+ years of business experience in purchasing process.
