Position Title: Analyst II

FLSA: Non-Exempt
Hours Worked: Typically, Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week. However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.
Position Summary:
The Biologist II is responsible for designing and executing biochemical and in vitro studies to discover and gain insight on novel therapeutic proteins and antibodies and will initially be focused on the Neurodegeneration space.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mammalian cell culture techniques for cell maintenance, stable cell line generation, and experimental setup. Experience with neuroscience relevant cell lines and/or primary cell isolation and culture is desirable.
- Experience with molecular biology techniques and endpoints including qRT-PCR, ELISA, MSD, Western blot, and multiplex immunofluorescence (cell/tissue based).
- Cell and tissue imaging/microscopy. Experience with quantitative analysis using quantitative scoring software’s such as inform automated image analysis software, Qupath digital pathology, etc.) is desirable.
- Biochemical and cell-based assay development to support novel target validation and therapeutic antibody screening and characterization.
- Experience generating and working with large datasets and pathway analysis is desirable. Offer problem resolution, as applicable, for any client issues or questions with the aim of enhancing client satisfaction and improving client relations.
- Accurately record test data.
- Report safety, instrument and technical issues.
- Follow the guidelines set forth with clients and in the Company Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Comply with clients and Company management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Follows the guidelines set forth in by clients and the Company Quality Manual and Safety / Chemical Hygiene Plan.
- Adhere to the requirements of the Quality System.
- Other duties as defined by Manager, department needs and workload.

Education and Experience:
- BS in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or another related field. Master’s degree in Cell/Molecular Biology, biochemistry, or related discipline is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years working in a research laboratory
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
