What You’ll Do:

 

  • Maintain mammalian cell culture lines, clone selections, transfections
  • Create cell line banks.
  • Prepare media and other cell culture reagents.
  • Perform strong aseptic techniques Exposure to operating and programming laboratory automation and liquid handling
  • Update and maintain biological inventories.
  • Perform experiment documentation (ELNs).
  • Perform bioassays, biochemical assays, PBMC isolation
  • Data analysis, presentation of data
  • Assist in any troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation
  • Interact professionally with both internal and external clients
  • Maintain a high level knowledge of various aspects of laboratory operations
  • Receive tasks and information from scientist in charge regarding changes in processes, priorities, workflow, safety requirements or other information.
  • Meetings regularly with the scientist in charge to discuss progress, upcoming work changes, and any new items
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external contacts
  • Remain flexible to ever-changing needs in a positive and professional manner

 

What You’ll Need:

 

  • Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Biology or related discipline
  • 2-4 years of science industry or research experience
  • Mammalian cell culture
  • Biochemical and cell-based assay
  • Strong interpersonal skills – written and oral communication, relationship building, being approachable, demonstrate initiative, adaptable, and project a positive attitude
  • Must have an excellent foundation in technical problem solving to assist in trouble shooting, samples management, shipping, ordering, equipment or logistical issues
