Laboratory Analyst - Wet Chemistry

We are seeking a day shift Laboratory Analyst to join our Wet Chemistry analytical laboratory. The position entails preparing and analyzing a wide variety of client samples using analytical chemistry methodologies, including classical wet chemistry, distillation, elemental, gravimetric, Kjeldahl nitrogen, spectroscopic, and volumetric titration techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing samples, standard reference materials, reagents, and/or solutions.
- Maintaining a clean and well-organized work area.
- Performing and documenting routine maintenance and calibration of instrumentation.
- Documenting/recording raw data and results of analyses.
- Executing analytical procedures in accordance with the appropriate regulations.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will possess a B.S./B.A. degree in a field such as Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, etc., and have one to two years of previous analytical chemistry laboratory experience. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will also be considered.
- Experience in a GLP/cGMP and ISO regulated environment is preferred.
- An ideal candidate will have familiarity with United States Pharmacopeia (USP), Food Chemical Codex (FCC), or other compendial methods.
- The candidate must be a good critical thinker and problem solver, possess good interpersonal skills, and have good technical writing and communication skills.
- The ability to prioritize, multi-task, and interpret mathematical relationships.
- Possess a willingness to learn in a team-based environment.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a group.
- Good attention to detail.
- The ability to see fine details such as fill lines on volumetric flasks and burettes and to manipulate small items such as capsules, tweezers, etc.
- Basic computer skills.
