SUMMARY  Briefly describe the job's primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization


Achieve sales objectives by establishing a sales program and generating revenue through various channels within the Sales Program. Spends majority of time on the phone with clients and must possess a strong but approachable telephone manner with the ability to penetrate and network through organizations to achieve desired revenue results.


BV’s Asset management division has grown by 64% in the last 4 years. In addition to prospecting, candidate will be mining existing accounts and markets for add-on services.  Candidates should demonstrate an ability to sell business to business services vs. a product.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in conformance with state and federal regulations.


  • Develops strategy by identifying, researching, analyzing and prospecting new/potential clients. 
  • Understands current and future market trends and capitalizes on market segments in order to increase bottom-line profitability. 
  • Prospects, contacts and develops new clients. 
  • Targets, prospects and obtains new accounts through investigative research and initial contact. 
  • Develops, maintains and services long-term relationships as well as performs needs analysis and consultative solutions to client issues and projects. 
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to up-sell based on client needs. 
  • Manages client pipelines including prioritizing efforts for contact through billing, updating and working through client database
  • Reports on activities and progress to Sr. Vice President of Sales
  • Researches, identifies, call (cold call and call warm leads) and converts prospective customers to new customers.
  • Maintains and strengthens existing customer relationships through regular phone, e-mail and in-person contact.
  • Inputs opportunities accurately and on a timely basis into Salesforce.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and RFQ/P submittal responses.
  • Provides quality customer service by following up on customer inquiries on a timely basis and engaging with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Remains knowledgeable of customer preferences and trends.
  • Maintains awareness of Company services, pricing tiers, sales policies and marketing campaigns and educate customers regarding same.
  • Prepares and submits accurate activity, sales and customer reports on a timely basis as requested by Management via Salesforce.
  • Travels to and attends industry events and/or trade shows.
  • Protects operations by keeping information and plans confidential.
  • Delivers outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients’ needs.
  • Demonstrates BV's guiding principles in support of the company's strategic goals.
  • Follows all documented policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions applicable to the position and support of BV's quality standards.
  • Maintains safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • May be required to work overtime.
  • Other duties that are assigned.





This position has no supervisory responsibilities.



QUALIFICATIONS  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of sales experience in a related field, preferably environmental, engineering or real estate, excellent client management skills, networking and prospecting fundamentals and the ability to close without the benefit of face to face contact.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Salesforce, and ACT (or similar sales database management systems).  Must also exhibit, persistence, patience and the aptitude to up-sell.

Other Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills including excellent interpersonal skills; highly developed organizational and time management skills; excellent analytical skills and the ability to work in an independent and/or team environment.
