Bureau Veritas is looking for a

Decontamination Technician – Food Microbiology Lab

As a Decontamination Technician, your responsibilities are:

• To manage the flow of waste into the decontamination cleaning and disinfecting benches, cleaning and sanitizing equipment
• To adhere to Bureau Veritas Code of Ethics Policy
• To support and comply with all Bureau Veritas policies, Quality System and Health & Safety program
• To work with a variety of different models of decontamination equipment
• To perform standard troubleshooting of the decontamination equipment
• To dispose of biohazardous and non-biohazardous wastes
• To follow Work Instructions (WIs)
• To brainstorm and develop new ideas to improve the decontamination process
• To identify and communicate non-conformances to Senior Staff
• To keep work area clean, neat and organized during and after processing time
• To perform all other responsibilities as assigned
• To work shifts as assigned – evenings and weekends

You are an ideal Decontamination technician if you have [Minimum Requirements]:

• You are willing to get involved and get your hands dirty
• You have a positive outlook with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• You possess good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills
• You are able to work both independently and as part of a team
• You are detail-oriented and can learn quickly
• You take logical approaches to problem solving
• You are able to adapt to a changing environment
• You are able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

Must be flexible to work evening and/or weekend shifts
