The Resident Engineer (RE) shall have a Professional Engineering license and should be familiar with technical aspects Transportation & Infrastructure Quality Assurance.  The Resident Engineer is responsible for construction inspection, schedule, budget and payments. The RE will ensure that the team delivers the right outcomes to the required level of quality, and within the constraints of time, cost, resources and risk.  The RE will be responsible for the-day-to-day management of all aspects of project delivery.



-Enforce the contract obligations of the General Contractor.

-Coordinate with City/State/Utilities as needed

-Build, manage and motivate the Project Team.

-Manage, improve and control project personnel. Handle conflict and must implement processes to keep personnel motivated and effective.

-Build and maintain effective working relationships with the project stakeholders, especially with the Client and Project Sponsor.

-Prepare and maintain project information and records.

-Identify and evaluate risks; determine and manage remedial actions.

-Monitor progress against plans. RE’s will monitor and control the work of producing the products, services and results the project was undertaken to produce.

-Implement “Project Control” processes and procedures.

-Prepare, review and present accurate project reports and plans to all stakeholders in accordance with planned formats and intervals.



-Fluent in English

-Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with Professional Engineer License in Pennsylvania, New York, or New Jersey.   

-Minimum 10 years' experience.

-Proven management experience with a large team as either an ARE or RE on a project exceeding $15 million.

-Must have working knowledge of Local Laws and Specifications
