Position Overview

 

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager  to support our Project Management Sales Division to drive growth and expand our client portfolio within key sectors. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and promoting BV’s project management services to prospective clients. The ideal candidate must demonstrate an ability to sell business to business services.

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to generate new leads and expand market presence.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in targeted industries, including real estate developers, corporate clients, and facility managers.
  • Promote BV’s full suite of project management services, including:
  •  
    • Project Management & Owners Representation
    • Construction Management & Integrated Project Delivery
    • Turnkey Programs (Design/Bid/Build & Design/Build)
    • Due Diligence (Site & Building Surveys, As-Builts, ALTA, Environmental Assessments)
    • Design & FFE (Permitting, Budgeting, Procurement)
    • Pre-Construction (Bidding, Vendor Management, Utility Coordination)
    • Construction Execution (Site Visits, Contract Administration, Tenant Improvements)
    • Capital Programs (Paving, HVAC, Lighting, Roofing, ADA Compliance)
    • Program Management (Branding, Re-imaging, Renovations, Technology Innovations)
  • Establish objectives by identifying key organizations and researching and analyzing market trends.
  • Identify and qualify potential clients that fit BV’s ideal client profile, setting up client meetings to propose engagements.
  • Follow up and close leads established in conjunction with the Executive Vice President of Sales.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients by facilitating introductions, attending industry events, and participating in business functions.
  • Respond to client Requests for Information, Quotations, and Proposals while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Act as a client representative within BV to identify and direct problem-solving efforts, ensuring projects meet client expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Represent BV at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and build strategic partnerships.
  • Work within Salesforce to track opportunities and communicate progress with management on a regular basis.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, and market trends.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the project management, construction, or real estate sectors.
  • Demonstrate an ability to sell business to business services.
  • Proven track record of securing new business and achieving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of construction project management, real estate development, and asset preservation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to engage with clients and attend industry events.
