Engineering Project Manager – Bureau Veritas – Power Group 

The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for maintaining the ownership of engineering design review services provided during the full project lifecycle―from early-stage development to final completion. This includes Bureau Veritas’ internal project budgets, schedules, in-scope technical document review, associated service deliverables and other in-scope review services provided for owners. This individual must have demonstrated experience and an understanding of renewable energy project design, development, management, or construction in one or more generation facility types―solar, wind, or battery energy storage.  

Job responsibilities include: 

 

  • Maintains thorough understanding of the contracts and project deliverables. 

  • Monitors project costs and ensures that project teams (both internal and external) are on track to provide scope of services agreed upon with the client to a high degree of quality. 

  • Identifies out of scope requests and provides out of scope notifications with change order requests to client in a timely fashion. 

  • Manages incoming client requests to ensure timely deliverables while coordinating with internal and external resources. 

  • Addressing client concerns and effectively manage services accordingly. 

  • Maintains conformity of project deliverables and services rendered to requirements (e.g. customer standards or specifications). 

  • Attends project meetings, as needed. 

  • Provides weekly project status updates for high-level internal stakeholders to help them constantly understand the efficacy of services being delivered to clients. 

  • Assists in bidding projects and refining pricing models to help fine-tune pricing assumptions. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred. 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with utility-scale renewable energy projects  

  • A good understanding of how Owner’s Engineering fits into the overall network of entities involved with renewable energy projects  

  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to guide teams in identifying and resolving complex issues through good communication  

  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite and typical construction management software  (e.g. Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, SharePoint, Box, etc.).
