Mechanical Manager Key Responsibilities:
 

· Collaboratively develop site specific inspections and test reports.

· Ensure all records required from the Quality Management system are controlled, maintained, and provide evidence of conformance with project requirements

· Review and be familiar with the mechanical job specifications, drawings, and the submittals which will outline the quality requirements.

· Make daily inspections of the work in progress and maintain very accurate records of these inspections

· Witness mechanical benchmarks as required by the contract and the job specifications

· Employee must also submit inspection documents on the testing that was witnessed

· Observe workers using tooling to verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards

· Recommend revision to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve standards

· Assist in resolving any mechanical discrepancies and ambiguities

· Assure all nonconformance and resolution activities are communicated in appropriate manner with all stakeholders

· Review inspection mechanical test packages during the project

· Responsible for overseeing solar site land development activities from Request for Proposal (RFP) through, construction and closeout to ensure projects are completed on budget and schedule

· Value engineer civil land development plans during construction

· Coordinate with regulatory agencies throughout construction to ensure compliance with permits

· Be knowledgeable of SWPP, SPCC and environmental best practices

· Provide guidance and direction to the project team and subcontractor to build a robust culture of environmental awareness and protection

· Manage subcontractors to ensure compliance with permit documents and project requirements

· Provide guidance and direction to contractor to ensure civil execution plan supports the project environmental protection plan and the integrated project schedule

· Monitor contractor work for compliance with the Project Quality Control Plan and Critical Path Schedule

· Provide input into the integrated project schedule and into progress or milestone payments

· Coordinate and resolve civil/site development construction related Requests for Information (RFI) with engineer


Competencies:

· Experience with BIM360, Procore, or other project management software a plus.

· Experience with document storage systems, Bluebeam, Adobe

· Able to read drawings and develop/implement inspection templates

· Experience in Solar- Pile, Racking, and Module Installation

· Good written and verbal communication

· Open-minded and positive attitude

· Coach approach, be willing to teach and be taught


Education/Experience

· Highschool Diploma/ 5-7 years’ experience in solar construction

· Basic Understanding of lean construction and principles of risk management

· Basic Understanding of quality management systems

· OSHA 10/OSHA 30 a plus

Salary range starting at: $110,000
