About the Role:

As a Commercial/Combination Building Inspector with Bureau Veritas, you will play a vital role in ensuring that commercial properties meet the highest standards of safety and compliance. You'll work independently in the field, using your skills to inspect and evaluate a range of commercial structures.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Inspect with Precision: Conduct thorough inspections of commercial buildings, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure they meet stringent codes and safety standards.
  • Review and Advise: Analyze construction plans and specifications to ensure they align with safety regulations and provide actionable feedback to builders and property owners.
  • Collaborate and Resolve: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to address code compliance issues and offer expert advice on alternate methods and materials.
  • Document and Report: Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate documentation to support compliance and safety.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced Professional: You bring at least 3 years of experience in building inspection, with a strong background in commercial structures.
  • Certified Expert: You hold an ICC Commercial Combination (CCI) or Commercial Building certification.
  • Skilled Technician: Your experience includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Fire Inspector certification and/or Master Code Professional designation are a plus.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver’s license is necessary for this role.

At Bureau Veritas, we are dedicated to ensuring employees receive fair and competitive pay.  Here's a breakdown of what we provide:

  • The minimum starting wage range for this role commences at $55-60/hour, which is subject to increases that are contingent on factors like experience, education, licenses, or certifications.
  • Salary Determination: Pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We consider total education, experience, skills, and certifications/licenses when determining the final salary. This information is transparently provided in adherence to several state and local Equal Pay and Pay Transparency Laws.
  • Contract Term: Initial contract for one year with possible extension.
