As a CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, your responsibilities are:

  • The development and maintenance of client accounts.
  • To be the key liaison between the client, the laboratory, and senior Bureau Veritas management.
  • Respond to all client calls (telephone or email) in a timely manner according to department standards.
  • Assist clients with the provision of data interpretive support.
  • Provide consultation, recommendations, and technical assistance to clients.
  • Stay current on the application and interpretation of Food regulations.
  • Document and get closure on all client complaints, (CARS).
  • Stay current with all methods, PARs, and MOCs, via the various reporting tools of the QSI, and CMR databases.
  • Assist the sales team with active participation in development and execution of the regional sales strategies, assist in all quotation reviews, and RFP generation.
  • Development of actual and potential clients through active participation in new account identification, and regular account reviews.
  • Coordinate work schedules, reports, data, billing and client requests.
  • Assist with the preparation of correspondence and reports for technical analytical data review, marketing information, and other related documentation.
  • Complete all office related administration tasks such as filing, reporting and invoice generation, mailing, etc.
  • Coordinate and follow-up of all subcontracted analyses.
  • Coordinate and schedule on time pick-up of samples.
  • Coordinate on time and accurate delivery of all bottle orders.
  • Work with accounting staff to facilitate discussions on client account payment habits; assist with collection of monies owed.
  • Provide client feedback to the Bureau Veritas management.
  • Available to respond to emails and calls after hours and on weekends, when necessary – Phone will be provided.



You are an ideal CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE if you have:


  • You possess a high school diploma and relevant food industry experience.
  • You possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • You are an energetic individual that can work independently in a multi-tasking fast paced environment.
  • You have the ability to work independently as well as engage others when required in escalation of concerns to meet the client needs or to best manage client disappointments.
  • You have good knowledge of computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • You possess good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills.
  • You have the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • You are detail orientated and have good record keeping skills.
  • You have the ability to accurately follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and work instructions.
  • You possess the ability to learn quickly.
  • You can sit for extended periods of time.
  • You have superior typing skills.
  • You are comfortable interacting with customers via telephone.
  • You can support your clients after hours and on weekend, when needed, for emergency and urgent requests.
