Intoduction

 

The job incumbent is responsible for the development of the organisation’s account business within the Eastern and Southern Africa geographical area of responsibility in line with company’s policies, procedures and target as relayed by management and the Global Business Line (GBL). He/she must perform the job within the framework of the BV Quality Assurance System, the Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

 

Minimum Requierements 

 

  • B/Degree in Law/ Political Science, Economics, Business Administration or related qualification
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in contracts management in a VOC and/or in similar related Industry.
  • Strong relations in the Verification of Conformity industry and ability to understand government networks
  • Ability to understand and work in a highly regulated enviroment
  • Presentation, convincing, management skills
  • Ability to cope well under pressure and to deal with difficult situations
  • Experience of working internationally and/or in a multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to become knowledgeable of the GS Services and more broadly of the BV domains and network
  • Proven project implementation and management skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Analytical skills
  • Computer literate and proficient in All Microsoft packages

Business:

  • Oversee daily operations of all liaison offices across the area/ region
  • Ensures effective implementation of regional strategies
  • Oversee compliances with all contractual obligations across the area/ region

Analytics:

  • Do regular research on the countries potential and identify growth potential within projects
  • Contribute to develop Case studies to develop business internationally
  • Provide accurate information on competition situation
  • Problem solving: Must be a self starter
  • Prepare presentations and material to best illustrate the group competences, resources, experiences.
  • Ensure knowledge management (develop toolbox, proposal template, presentation template, references, resumes databases, pricing tools)
  • Identify good practices across geographies and sectors
  • Promote the BV product portfolio
  • Support the development of existing sales information systems as well as the sales information

 

 

Management:

  • Management of the VOC Local Offices (LO) across the area/ region
  • Ensures that the LO team:
    • is competent to perform the jobs assigned (Recruitment, training, qualifications, supervision)
    • is familiar with the key principles of requirements of each VOC program in relation with its job
    • Consults Connections for update of VOC procedures/specifics and other VOC contracts site if available
  • Follow-up of procedures and check quality of workflow
  • Set up, implements, monitors KPIs and dashboard for LO’s
  • Ensures weekly reporting and review of his/her activity with the Line Managers and Management

Reports immediate discrepancies and difficulties met in reaching quality goals/time schedules to Office Manager and Southern Africa GS Regional Director
