2. Minimum Required Qualifications

1. 1. Specialty

Sound Knowledge in Mechanical/Structural Engineering, Pressure Equipment, or Asset Integrity Management

1. 2. Education

Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field

1. 3. Training / Awareness

API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector) or API 570 (Piping Inspector) or API 653 (Storage Tank Inspector) – as applicable to assignment

1. 4. Technical knowledge

API certification; HSE awareness; Asset integrity fundamentals

1. 5. Experience

Minimum 5 years in asset integrity inspection, pressure equipment inspection, or similar role in Oil & Gas or Power sectors

3. Responsibilities / Authorities / Accountabilities

1. 1. Primary Functions

• Conduct comprehensive inspections and integrity assessments of pressure vessels, piping systems, storage tanks, and related equipment in Oil & Gas and Power installations
• Ensure strict adherence to API standards (510, 570, 653), ASME codes, and relevant regulatory requirements
• Inspect pressure equipment, welds, corrosion protection systems, and structural integrity
• Verify correct application of installation, fabrication, maintenance, and repair techniques per API guidelines
• Review and validate technical documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection reports, and equipment history records
• Witness functional tests, pressure tests, and non-destructive examinations (NDT) to confirm asset integrity compliance
• Identify and report non-conformities (NCRs) and track corrective action implementation
• Ensure traceability and certification of all inspected equipment
• Collaborate with engineers, HSE, QA/QC teams, and regulatory authorities to maintain safety and quality standards
• Compile detailed inspection reports, findings documentation, and compliance records for clients and regulatory review

1. 2. Technical Expertise

• In-depth knowledge of Oil & Gas and Power equipment design, fabrication, and operation
• Strong technical judgment in asset condition assessment
• Familiarity with API inspection procedures and risk-based inspection (RBI) methodologies
• Understanding of manufacturing, fabrication, and maintenance processes
• Knowledge of QSP procedures for conducting surveillance inspections

Coordinating and managing inspections with different level of people from different parties such as Clients, Sub-contractors, Yard Departments and Regulatory Authorities.

To work under pressure and extreme climatic conditions to meet project requirements

1. 6. HSE Requirements

• Authorized to stop work if condition, situation, environment…etc. is not safe to perform the activity (immediately inform to reporting person in the department for further guidance, if this authority is used).
• Accountable to take care of own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what can do or cannot do.
• Accountable for co-operating with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for health, safety or welfare.
• Perform his duties in safe environment and respond to emergency situations as required by local procedures.
• Submittal of required reports within time frame / as assigned
• Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV Dubai HSE Policies, procedures and practices.
• Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/ QHSE Manager
• Reporting all incidents / Near Miss reporting as well as taking action whenever any unsafe act or condition is observed.
• Responsible for giving feedback on HSE issues for improvement as part of participation and consultation requirement.
• Report immediately any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
• Report immediately any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation
• Use appropriate PPE in the work area and be aware of:

1. • the risks appropriate PPE will control or minimize
   • Report immediately in case the PPE is worn off or lost.

• Communicate with their immediate manager any unsafe work practice or condition and opportunities for improvement of HSE practices.
