- Minimum Required Qualifications
|

- Specialty
|
- BGAS 2 or NACE 2 certification and 5 years work experience in similar kind of inspection. For Pipeline, candidate shall be familiar with 3 LPE coating systems .

- 3 year Diploma or 4 year Bachelor Degree in mechanical engineering

- Industry experience: For 3 year Diploma-more than 12 years industrial QA/QC Coating, Painting and Insulation. For 10 year bachelor degree- more than 3 years industrial QA/QC Coating, Painting and Insulation.
- Oil & Gas Experience: Minimum 8 years for Diploma & Minimum 6 years for Bachelor degree

- Responsibilities / Authorities

- Primary Functions
|
- Review and comment / approve contractor’s Painting, coating & wrapping procedures.
- Carry out inspection of surface profile, chloride contamination test as per applicable standards.
- Monitor weather and equipment condition during Painting, coating operation
- Ensure that paint materials are used from approved paint manufacturers with valid pot life.
- Ensure that the application of coating is carried out as per the technical data-sheet of the manufacturer and approved painting specification.
- Ensure that proper time intervals between intermediate coats for proper chemical and mechanical bonding.
- Witness / checking of Dry Film Thickness and Holiday detection / Pin hole detection’s and Ensure that calibrated testing equipment is used.
- Monitor surface preparation, application of bonding agent, elastomer, wrapping and curing operation (for Neoprene coating) on riser pipes / clamps.
- Witness post curing tests such as hardness, spark test, sound test, adhesion test, visual and dimensional check etc. on riser pipes / clamps.
- Monitor surface preparation, application of CTE coating and post curing tests on pipeline.
- Monitor surface preparation, application of heat shrink sleeves, holiday tests on field joints.
- Monitor surface preparation, wrapping (Servi wrap M 30 B), holiday detection and doping on offshore pipeline.group and external subcontractors involved in the contractual duty process. This tenacious effort shall bring to the contract the required resources as well as the tools necessary to follow the contract schedule, cost / profit as well as quality on the contracts way to a successful completion.
- Decision making is vital in this dynamic process and the project manager is in charge of making those decisions consistently, demonstrating full knowledge of the project's technical issues and its status. of a given project applying the leadership and cohesive force that binds together the many diverse elements, which bring about successful completion.
- Analysis of the contract documents, quality, legal and finance aspects, general requirements, specifications and plans combined with the estimate and scope of work constitute Project Manager’s objective of contract goal setting.

- Technical Expertise

- Within his field of competency, the inspector is expected to conduct the activities stated in Primary functions.
- Fully conversant with relevant inspection techniques and able to select the most appropriate inspection technique.
- Able to verify and approve Non-conformities / corrective actions
- Able to identify required Bureau Veritas interventions, based on a pre-defined Quality Plan and according to specified standards.
- Able to review / appraise inspection procedures
