## Instrumentation & Control / System Engineer – Offshore Oil & Gas

### Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced **Instrumentation & Control / System Engineer** to support the engineering, design, testing, commissioning, and technical verification of control and automation systems for offshore oil & gas projects. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in major process control and safety systems and be familiar with applicable international codes, standards, and recommended practices throughout the EPC project lifecycle.

### Key Responsibilities

* Develop, review, and verify engineering deliverables related to **Instrumentation, Control, Automation, and System Engineering**.

* Review and verify **P&IDs**, control philosophies, system architectures, engineering specifications, and related technical documentation.

* Provide technical support during the **EPC phase** of offshore oil & gas projects.

* Review and coordinate the design and implementation of **DCS, ESD, F&G, SCADA, Advanced Process Control (APC), and automation systems**.

* Participate in **shop testing, FAT/SAT, field testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting** of control and automation systems.

* Ensure system designs comply with applicable **international codes, standards, specifications, and recommended practices**.

* Coordinate with process, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure effective system integration.

* Identify technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions in accordance with project requirements.

* Review vendor documentation, drawings, calculations, system configurations, and technical submissions.

* Support project teams in ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, quality standards, and approved engineering practices.

### Required Qualifications

* **Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent** in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.

* Minimum **10 years of relevant professional experience** in the **offshore oil & gas industry**.

* Strong knowledge and practical experience with:

  * Distributed Control Systems (**DCS**)

  * Emergency Shutdown Systems (**ESD**)

  * Fire & Gas Systems (**F&G**)

  * Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (**SCADA**)

  * Advanced Process Control (**APC**)

  * Industrial automation and control systems

* Strong understanding of **P&IDs and control system engineering**.

* Good knowledge of international engineering **codes, standards, and recommended practices** applicable to oil & gas projects.

* Experience with **EPC project execution** and multidisciplinary engineering coordination.

* Ability to participate in and verify **FAT, SAT, shop testing, field testing, commissioning, and system validation** activities.
