Laser Scanning Specialist

Laser Scanning Specialist with hands-on experience in Leica and Trimble X9 laser scanners, and solid working knowledge of BIM processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing accurate 3D reality capture, processing point cloud data, and integrating it into BIM environments to support design, construction, and asset management workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct 3D laser scanning using Leica and Trimble X9 equipment on various project sites.
• Plan and execute scan missions ensuring accuracy and full coverage of the required areas.
• Process raw point cloud data using software such as Leica Cyclone, Trimble RealWorks, or
  equivalent.
• Register, clean, and align point clouds to produce high-quality outputs for project use.
• Integrate point cloud data into Revit, Navisworks, or other BIM software for coordination and
  modeling.
• Support BIM teams with accurate scan-to-BIM models and as-built documentation.
• Perform quality checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project
  specifications.
• Collaborate with design, construction, and digital delivery teams to provide spatial data solutions.
• Maintain scanning equipment and ensure proper data storage and backup.

Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma in Geomatics, Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in laser scanning and BIM.
• Proven expertise in Leica (RTC360, BLK) and Trimble X9 systems.
• Proficiency in software: Cyclone, Trimble RealWorks, ReCap, Revit, Navisworks, etc.
• Strong understanding of scan-to-BIM workflows and data integration.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or in teams.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Preferred:

• Experience working on large infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with clash detection and model coordination workflows
