Team Leader - Civil

The Team Leader is responsible for leading and supervising the field inspection team assigned to the Civil Condition Assessment Project. The role ensures that condition assessment activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, ADNOC standards, Bureau Veritas procedures, and approved inspection methodologies. The Team Leader is responsible for the quality of field inspections, coordination of daily activities, and timely submission of inspection records and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Field Operations

- Lead and supervise daily civil condition assessment activities at assigned ADNOC Gas facilities.

- Plan and coordinate daily inspection activities in accordance with the project schedule.

- Ensure inspection activities are performed in compliance with approved methodologies and project requirements.

- Coordinate access permits, work permits, and logistics required for field activities.

- Monitor daily progress and resolve operational issues in the field.

2. Technical Responsibilities

- Supervise visual inspections of civil and structural assets.

- Verify identification, documentation, and classification of structural defects, deterioration mechanisms, and asset conditions.

- Coordinate field measurements, surveys, concrete investigations, and sampling activities.

- Ensure inspection findings are accurately recorded using approved inspection forms and digital systems.

- Review inspection records for completeness and technical accuracy before submission.

3. Team Management

- Supervise engineers, inspectors, technicians, and supporting personnel.

- Allocate daily work assignments and monitor team productivity.

- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to inspection personnel.

- Ensure team members comply with project procedures and quality requirements.

- Conduct toolbox talks and daily coordination meetings.

4. HSE Responsibilities

- Ensure full compliance with ADNOC HSE requirements and Bureau Veritas QHSE procedures.

- Verify implementation of approved Risk Assessments (RA), Method Statements (MS), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Permit-to-Work requirements.

- Stop any unsafe work and immediately report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.

- Promote a proactive safety culture within the inspection team.

- Participate in HSE inspections and audits.

5. Quality Management

- Ensure inspections are completed in accordance with project specifications, ADNOC Engineering Standards, and Bureau Veritas procedures.

- Verify the quality and consistency of inspection records and photographs.

- Review inspection reports before submission to the Project Manager.

- Support closure of NCRs and implementation of corrective actions.

6. Reporting & Coordination

- Prepare daily progress reports and manpower reports.

- Report field progress, risks, constraints, and resource requirements to the Project Manager.

- Coordinate with client representatives, laboratory personnel, survey teams, and subcontractors during field activities.

- Support preparation of weekly progress reports and technical deliverables.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

- Minimum 7 years of experience in civil inspection, condition assessment, structural inspection, or infrastructure maintenance.

- Previous experience on ADNOC or major oil & gas projects is preferred.
