About the Job
You will join a team of 10 experienced and driven sales professionals, business developers, and pricing specialists. Your direct team members are in The Netherlands, Belgium but you will also closely be working with colleagues of our international network. We are expanding the team and driving a renewed focus to ensure we delight our customers at every touchpoint through a roadmap of projects. A big portion of your focus will be on promoting the portfolio of sustainability, HSE, and compliance related services in the Building & Infrastructure market. We conceive this market not to be limited to the Building and Infrastructure sector but also containing well-established clients in the retail sector. In these market segments we offer our clients solutions for the sustainability, safety or integrity related aspects of important assets (buildings…) as well as the people working there. By doing this we strive to help our clients to meet their increasing demands towards sustainability, safety and all other aspects that are of interest in their business.
In the role of Key Account Manager, you are responsible for business development and sales of the service portfolio with our customers in the Building & Infrastructure market with a focus on Netherlands and Belgium. Based on your market knowledge, thought leadership, your existing industry network and excellent understanding of relevant boundary conditions such as contractual matters and different stakeholder perspectives, you will systematically drive our business activities including building up and maintaining strategic sales partnerships. Your Responsibilities
- Identification, clustering, and prioritization of new potential clients
- Scaling our current clients that are already active in the target market
- Engaging with potential clients by establishing strong relationships to clearly identify our customers’ needs
- Preparation of a business development plan and subsequent responsibility for the implementation of measures and for achieving corresponding revenue targets
- Work according to the SalesForce guidelines and record the process and progress of (potential) sales.
- Management and steering of contract negotiations in close collaboration with our technical and commercial support team
- Participation and representation of our services at relevant conferences
- Continuous support and after-sales relationship management of existing customers to develop long-lasting partnerships.
- Keep abreast of current and emerging market trends, and using your strategic insight contribute to the groups Marketing & Sales network.
These in relation to new business opportunities, market trends, product development and changing customer behaviors and needs.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in technical or commercial discipline, or relevant industry experience
- You are familiar with the building & infrastructure industry, ideally with a network of relevant industry contacts
- 3 to 5 years of sales experience with a proven track record
- Ability to manage multiple projects and understand markets, customers and the competitive situation
- You are an agile networker and able to communicate at all levels within an organization (including c-suite management level), building effective relationships with customers, peers & stakeholders
- You have a “hands on” mentality and are driven by delivering on your commitments
- You are a careful listener and excellent communicator
- English and Dutch speaker/writer on professional level (at least C1)
