Site Manager / Renewable Projects

Introduction

The Renewables Department within Bureau Veritas Romania’s Industry Business Unit is the department managing the services delivered to renewable energy projects. Such services include early- and late-stage development, technical advisory, owner’s engineering, construction management, procurement support, and asset management.

Role

Bureau Veritas Romania is currently seeking a dedicated Site Manager to join the Renewables team in Romania. The successful candidate shall play a key role in overseeing the overall implementation of renewable energy projects. Acting as a liaison between the company, its clients, and its external partners, the Site Manager shall ensure that all project phases, from documentation review to construction and commissioning, are delivered within scope, budget, and schedule, and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities shall include, but shall not be limited to:

• Supervise the delivery, construction and commissioning of renewable energy projects, and manage the day-to-day operations on site to direct projects towards reaching their Provisional Acceptance status.
• Actively participate in the project management process to ensure that all works meet the quality standards, milestones, and budgets, as well as the specifications and requirements within applicable standards and regulations.
• Track project milestones, identify critical risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure that health and safety procedures are followed with support from HSE Coordinators.
• Review and manage related documentation, including basic and detailed designs, drawings, checklists, non-conformities, change orders, as-builts, punch lists, and progress reports.
• Support the decision-making process from both technical and commercial aspects.
• Prepare information and reports on all aspects of the projects, including progress, budget management, timelines, milestones, resources, etc.
• Coordinate and manage communication with relevant governmental and regulatory bodies, authorities, and municipalities throughout the projects’ execution phases.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with stakeholders.
• Develop project management methodology and tools which can be implemented and used across multiple projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field (civil, electrical, or mechanical).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction and project management. Having worked on renewable projects, with a proven record of successful project delivery, is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Romanian standards, procedures, regulations, and permitting process for renewable energy assets.

Location

Full-time on-site during projects execution. Alternatively, in the Bucharest HQ Office.
