Bureau Veritas Iraq is seeking a highly qualified BNI Head based in Baghdad

Experience & Skills Required

Education

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or an approved equivalent (Bachelor’s degree minimum).

Experience

• Graduate engineer with minimum 10-15 years inspection experience in Building or infrastructure projects, High Rise Buildings, Large water reservoirs, Hotel and commercial Complex, etch, experience in at least 3 of these areas!! 
• Experience with P&L, Sales, and Business Development.
• Coordination with the client, performing centers participate in pre-inspection meetings.
• Identifying business opportunities/leads with the client and coordinate with the concerned deportment.
• Fully Conversant with the key Civil Engineering standards.
• Strong contracts management and proficiency.
• Communication and negotiation skills at international level.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Business development: Handle P&L responsibilities, sales activities, and identification of new business opportunities.
• Operations management: Lead operations, financials, administration, and technical activities of B&I Iraq, ensuring continual improvement of service quality.
• Client coordination: Liaise with clients, coordinate with performing centers, and participate in pre-inspection meetings.
• Contracts management: Manage contracts effectively and conduct negotiations.
• Digital systems oversight: Ensure continuous implementation and effective use of developed digitalized systems.
• Technical control: Conduct reviews, inspections, and other technical control tasks.
• Civil engineering expertise: Apply knowledge of key civil engineering standards in inspections and project execution.
• Team performance support: Assist personnel to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality of work.
• Resource utilization: Maintain efficient allocation and use of team members.
• Supervision and mentoring: Manage, train, and mentor junior Engineers/Inspectors as requested by N+1.
• Inspectors/Engineers supervision: Oversee inspectors/Engineers to ensure compliance and performance.
• Task execution: Perform assignments delegated by N+1 within competency limits.
• Progress reporting: Provide updates and deliverables to N+1/management.
• Maintain confidentiality, independence, and impartiality in line with the Bureau Veritas Code of Ethics and Group policies.

The B&I Head is responsible for delivering the following outputs:

• Business growth initiatives: Identification of new business opportunities, P&L contributions, and sales development.
• Contracts management: Negotiated and managed contracts.
• Client coordination: Participation in pre-inspection meetings and coordination with clients and performing centers.
• Digital systems adoption: Continuous implementation and effective usage of developed digitalized systems.
• Personnel development: Improved efficiency and performance quality of underperforming team members through support and mentoring.
