API Inspector

Bureau Veritas Iraq is Looking to hire API Inspector position based in Basra on site.

The API Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections and assessments of equipment, piping, and pressure vessels to ensure compliance with the standards set by the American Petroleum Institute (API). The inspector identifies defects, recommends repairs, and ensures the integrity and safety of assets in industrial settings such as refineries, petrochemical plants, and oil and gas facilities.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Certification in API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector), API 570 (Piping Inspector), or API 653 (Storage Tank Inspector) required (as per job role).
• Additional certifications such as ASNT NDT Level II, AWS CWI, or other relevant qualifications are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection, quality assurance, or mechanical integrity in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, NBIC).
• Experience with inspection tools, NDT techniques, and reporting software.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to work in challenging environments, including confined spaces and elevated work areas.
