Bureau Veritas Iraq is looking to hire a Commissioning Manager based in Basra for an - on site position.
Skills and Qualifications

Scope of work:

• Review of commissioning documents: check and approve commissioning procedures, method statements, and ITPs before the contractor starts.
• Coordination: align EPC, vendors, grid operator, and the owner’s engineer for smooth test execution.
• Witnessing key tests:
• - DC string tests (continuity, insulation resistance, IV curves).
• - Inverter and LV panel energization.
• - Transformer and MV/HV switchgear energization.
• - Protection relay and interlock logic testing.
• - SCADA/SAS integration and communication checks.
• - Grid code compliance tests (synchronization, reactive power, fault ride-through).
• Verification: review test reports, request retesting if needed, and follow up until all NCRs and punch lists are closed.
• Safety & Grid Connection: ensure energization and grid synchronization are carried out safely and as per the utility/grid operator’s requirements.
• Documentation & Handover: confirm that all commissioning records are complete and formally signed before issuing the PAC (Provisional Acceptance Certificate).
