Bureau Veritas Iraq is looking to hire a HV Electrical Supervisor based in Basra for an - on site position.
Skills and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and operation of HV switchgear, transformers, protection & control systems, and overhead/underground HV cables.
• Ensure compliance with IEC standards, grid codes, and utility requirements.
• Perform and review protection coordination studies, earthing design, and HV equipment sizing.
• Supervise and witness factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and high-voltage testing.
• Lead energization activities and ensure all safety procedures, LOTO (lock-out tag-out), and interlock systems are properly applied.
• Support O&M teams with fault analysis, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement of HV assets.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, and utility/grid operators during design review and grid connection.
