IVS Team Leader

Bureau Veritas in Iraq is looking for a highly qualified IVS Team leader based in Basra.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 8–10 years in inspection activities
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or team leader role

• LEEA or NSL certification (mandatory) or approved equivalent
• ASNT / PCN Level II (RT, UT, MT, PT) or approved equivalent
• IADC or approved equivalent

• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, BS)
• Proven experience in lifting, Rig inspection, welding, and NDT activities
• Ability to interpret contracts, specifications, ITPs, and Quality Plans

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise IVS inspectors and technicians
• Allocate resources and manage inspection assignments
• Ensure competency, certification validity, and training of IVS personnel
• Act as the main technical focal point for IVS activities

• Review contractual technical requirements, standards, and specifications
• Define and approve Quality Plans, ITPs, and inspection procedures
• Validate inspection assignments, schedules, milestones, and deliverables
• Ensure inspections are executed in compliance with BV Quality System
• Review, validate, and approve inspection reports and NCRs
• Ensure timely submission of final deliverables to clients

• Establish and maintain direct contact with clients and project stakeholders
• Support BL Manager in promoting BV IVS service portfolio
• Handle technical queries, disputes, and non-conformities professionally

• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and BV procedures
• Review and appraise inspection methodologies and techniques
• Lead internal audits and support external audits related to IVS scope
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed effectively
