Bureau Veritas Iraq is looking to hire NDT Specialist based in Basra for an - on site position.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 Years Experience in Cross Country Pipeline NDT inspection
  • Having NDT level 3 or AUT certified.
  • Witness , monitor and record the NDT parameters during welding
  • Having knowledge of Qualitative and Quantitative NDE techniques
  • Capable of checking the measuring NDT instruments correctness and validity
  • Experience in NDT test validation witness of test coupons
  • Good Communication skills and capable of making the daily Reports
  • Well versed of API 1104 , API 5L, ASME Section V and ASME section IX
  • Understanding of the NDT KPIs

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Witness, monitor, and record NDE parameters during pipeline welding activities.

· Conduct surveillance of Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Phased Array UT (PAUT),

Automatic UT (AUT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT).

· Verify compliance with applicable codes and standards (API 1104, API 5L, ASME Section V, ASME Section

IX).

· Monitor welding inspection activities and ensure NDE is performed as per approved WPS and project ITPs.

· Validate NDE test procedures and witness qualification of NDE procedures and personnel.

· Witness and verify NDE test coupon inspections and procedure qualification tests.

· Ensure correct calibration, validity, and certification of NDE equipment and measuring instruments.

· Review and validate NDE reports and interpretation results (qualitative and quantitative techniques).

· Monitor Automatic Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) systems and verify scanning parameters, calibration blocks, and

acceptance criteria.

·Identify deviations and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) when required.

· Monitor and evaluate NDE performance against project KPIs.

· Coordinate with welding inspectors, construction teams, and client representatives.

· Prepare daily surveillance reports and maintain proper inspection records.
