QA/QC Engineer (Mechanical)

Bureau Veritas Iraq is looking to hire a QA/QC Engineer(Mechanical) based in Basra for an - on site position.

Scope of work :

• PV Field & Trackers: check pile driving depth and verticality, torque tube straightness, tracker alignment, module mounting, and torque checks on bolts.
• Steel & Foundations: review anchor bolts, concrete foundations, grouting, structural steel frames for inverter skids and substations.
• Cabling Supports: ensure trays, ladders, conduits, and ducts are properly fixed, leveled, protected from corrosion, and can carry the designed loads.
• Cooling & Ventilation: verify HVAC ducts, fans, and cooling systems for inverter rooms, control rooms, and substations are installed and tested.
• Firefighting & Plumbing: check tanks, pumps, hydrants, sprinklers, and piping networks; witness hydrotests and functional tests.
• Welding & Coating: inspect welds, check WPS/PQR, witness NDT, confirm galvanization or painting thickness.
• Testing & Completion: witness mechanical load tests on trackers, torque audits, HVAC performance checks, firefighting system pressure tests.
• Documentation & QA/QC: review ITPs, checklists, NCRs, punch lists, and sign off only when works meet specs.
• Daily Work: coordinate with contractors and the owner’s engineer, raise issues on the spot, and make sure they are closed quickly.
