Bureau Veritas Iraq is looking to hire Welding Surveilliance based in Basra for an - on site position.

Qualifications:

10+ years of Welding Surveillance experience & at least one of the following: CWI, BGAS-CSWIP, IIW IWE, or equivalent including

5+ years’ experience with the particular commodity or process

· Minimum 5 Years Experience in Cross Country Pipeline Welding inspection

· Having minimum CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector Certification and Engineering Graduate

· Having NDT Level – II in RT/PT/UT/MT

· Well experience in welding techniques

· Having Experience in Mechanised Welding will be an added advantage

· Witness , monitor and record the welding parameters during welding

· Having knowledge of PWHT and Pre-Heating

· Experience in weld Fit up and able to use the various gauges before, during and after the welding

· Experience in PQR and welder qualification

· Good Communication skills and capable of making the daily Reports

· Well versed of API 1104, ASME section IX, ASME B 31.3 and API 5L

· Understanding of the Welding KPIs

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Witness, monitor, and record welding parameters during pipeline welding operations.

· Ensure welding activities are performed in accordance with approved WPS and project ITP requirements.

· Verify welder qualifications and ensure welders are working within their approved qualification range.

· Monitor fit-up activities and check root gap, alignment, bevel angle, hi-lo, and internal misalignment using

appropriate gauges.

·Inspect welding before, during, and after completion of welding activities.

· Monitor pre-heating and interpass temperature control as per WPS requirements.

· Verify and witness Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) activities where applicable.

· Review and witness Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) and welder qualification tests.

· Coordinate with NDT personnel to ensure welds are released for inspection as per project sequence.

· Verify compliance with applicable codes and standards (API 1104, ASME Section IX, ASME B31.3, API 5L).

· Monitor welding productivity and quality performance against project Welding KPIs.

·Identify deviations and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) where required.

· Prepare accurate daily welding surveillance and inspection reports.
