Responsibilities:
- Provide overall technical governance for all inspection and NDT/Advanced NDT activities, ensuring compliance with COMPANY specifications, ISO standards, and contractual requirements.
- Lead the development, review, approval, and maintenance of inspection procedures, NDT/Advanced NDT techniques, inspection work methods, and technical instructions.
- Ensure all inspection personnel meet contract-required competencies, certifications, and qualification frameworks (ISO 9712, SNT-TC-1A, CSWIP, API, IRATA, etc.).
- Oversee technical validation of inspection results, including UT, MT, PT, RT, PAUT, TOFD, LRUT, SRUT, PEC, and other advanced techniques.
- Provide technical assurance for inspection deliverables, reports, data quality, and CIRRAS submissions to maintain contract compliance and traceability.
- Coordinate with COMPANY Technical Authorities on technical clarifications, procedure approvals, novel inspection methods, and interpretation of standards.
- Ensure contractor equipment (NDT, Advanced NDT, EX-rated devices, calibration equipment) meets COMPANY requirements, ISO 17025 calibration standards, and operational readiness criteria.
- Support troubleshooting of complex inspection issues, structural anomalies, corrosion mechanisms, and advanced NDT findings.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including new inspection technologies, productivity enhancements, and quality improvements.
- Provide technical training, mentoring, and competency development plans for inspectors, technicians, and support staff.
- Oversee internal audits, external audits, NCR investigations, root cause analyses (RCA), and corrective/preventive action execution.
- Ensure technical risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated as part of inspection execution planning.
Qualification:
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgy, or related Engineering discipline.
- ASNT Level III certification in at least one major NDT method (UT, MT, PT, VT, or RT).
- Minimum 8–10 years experience in inspection, integrity management, or NDT/Advanced NDT technical roles within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9712, SNT-TC-1A, CSWIP, API (510/570/653), ASME, NACE, IRATA, and COMPANY Inspection Standards.
- Experience overseeing advanced NDT methods (PAUT, TOFD, LRUT, SRUT, PEC, IRIS, MFL, etc.) is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 17020 and ISO 9001 quality systems, procedure approvals, and technical audit processes.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting inspection data, fitness-for-service input, and anomaly assessment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills when engaging with COMPANY Technical Authorities.
- Proficient in MS Office, inspection management systems (e.g., CIRRAS), and reporting tools.
- HSSE awareness, with required training and certifications as determined by COMPANY (e.g., BOSIET if offshore attendance is required).
- Fluent in English (oral and written) and compliant with BSP Ethics & Compliance requirements
