 Position Summary

The QHSE Coordinator position is responsible for QA part of Document Control and will also support the QHSE Team by implementing and maintaining HSE management systems while administering site document control processes. The role ensures compliance with regulatory and ISO requirements through effective document management, auditing support, training coordination, record control, and HSE program administration.
 
 Major Roles & Responsibilities 
•    Understand the HSE objectives and metrics while assisting 
•    Organize and facilitate monthly HSE meetings
•    Gather and analyze data for quarterly site Carbon Footprint reporting and assist in implementing carbon reduction actions
•    Maintain, review and improve site HSE documentation
•    Conduct periodic HSE inspections and planned audits to maintain regulatory compliance and improve the HSE management systems  
•    Facilitate external CPR, AED, first aid and other HSE–related training
•    Assist with health/emergency planning, drills, and skills sessions
•    Assist with the hazardous waste disposal process and hazardous sample management process
•    Facilitate and coordinate universal and electronic recycling programs for the facility
•    Support and lead sections of the annual Management Systems audit to ISO 14001 and 45001
•    Facilitate safety inspections of all departments on site and help to ensure that actions are taken to address any and all findings
•    Assist with ensuring site compliance to applicable regulations and standards
•    Assist in administering the respiratory protection program and facilitate respirator fit testing for applicable employees
•    Facilitate the Job Safety Analysis program for the site and author JSA’s, as applicable
•    Conduct safety walks throughout the site and facilitate actions in response to outcomes
•    Perform HSE risk assessments of new/existing testing or processes in the lab, as needed
•    Train employees on HSE topics, as needed
•    Investigate all injuries incurred on-site and perform full root cause analysis and suggest improvement to prevent reoccurrence
•    Assist the QHSE supervisor with liaising between management and external safety agencies, such as fire and insurance personnel
•    Follow the guidelines set forth in the Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures. 
•    Comply with Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc management systems in accordance with ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
•    Monitor document compliance and overdue reviews and generate compliance metrics.
•    Coordinate periodic reviews of procedures, policies, and management system documentation.
•    Support management system audits and CAPA activities through effective document and record control.
•    Maintain master document registers and records retention schedules.
•    Manage document change requests and coordinate approvals with document owners.
•    Ensure current versions of procedures, work instructions, forms, and policies are available and obsolete versions removed from use.
•    Control creation, review, approval, revision, distribution, retention, and archival of documents and records.
•    Maintain document control processes in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 17025 requirements.
•    Serve as site Document Control Coordinator for Quality, HSE, and operational documentation.
•    Document Control & Management Systems Administration

 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

•    Ability to review and understand federal, state and city safety requirements, including OSHA.
•    Ability to interpret and apply new regulations.
•    Ability to review and understand ISO 14001 and 45001 management system requirements.
•    Trained in or Auditor certification for ISO 14001 and 45001 is preferred.
•    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint required.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation.
•    Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and project managers.
•    Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines.
•    Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 17025 management systems.
Knowledge of document control principles, records management practices, and electronic document management systems.
 Experience and Educational Background Required for the Job
•    Associate degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management, Business Administration, Document Control, or related field.
•    Minimum 2-3 years of experience in HSE coordination, document control, quality systems administration, or a related role.
•    Experience supporting ISO management systems preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Compensation Range:
$25 - $27 an hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).
