As part of our strategic expansion in the food safety sector, we are recruiting for our Bureau Veritas Certification Europe division a Director Europe Food Safety Products (F-M-D) on a permanent contract.

Reporting to Jacques, VP Certification Europe, you will lead food safety initiatives across our European network, based in Paris but could be in any of our European agencies.

You will work closely with our operational teams and our clients within the framework of regional growth strategy and global service line deployment.

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH

Your mission is to position Bureau Veritas as a key player in the Food Safety market within the Europe region, ensuring strategic growth and operational excellence. Your role is essential to driving revenue growth and fostering collaboration across our European network.

You will:

• Define and operationalize the growth strategy within the region in alignment with Area CER managers, define and prioritize the service portfolio for Food Safety Products, and facilitate inter-country collaboration to optimize service deployment

• Lead the management plan for Key Accounts and Strategic Partnerships at the regional level, developing strategic relationships with major food industry stakeholders

• Pursue and engage in critical opportunities, tenders, and framework agreements, identifying and capitalizing on emerging market opportunities

• Set sales targets per area, monitor performance, and implement necessary support to foster a winning environment for teams

• Periodically monitor market trends and competitive landscapes in the food safety sector, analyzing regulatory and normative developments

• Support the development of marketing plans and the organization of key events, participating in professional trade shows and sector conferences

• Interface with the Global Service Certification to share and leverage best practices, references, and capacities within the global BV network, collaborate closely with Operations and HR for skills development and project delivery excellence, and assist the BV network for all questions related to Food Safety opportunities, offers, and contracts

Deep knowledge of Food Safety Services — Equips you with the industry expertise and credibility required to drive strategic initiatives and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across Europe

Business development experience — Enables you to identify growth opportunities, structure compelling commercial proposals, and drive revenue expansion in competitive markets.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences — Allows you to bridge technical expertise with commercial strategy, ensuring alignment between operations teams, clients, and executive leadership.

Fluency in English — Ensures seamless collaboration across our multinational European network and effective engagement with international clients and partners.

Familiarity with food safety management systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC, IFS, etc.) — Helps you guide service portfolio development, support technical teams, and provide authoritative insights to clients on compliance and certification requirements.

Rigor, technical credibility, reliability, and commitment combined with strong team player mindset — Ensures consistent delivery of high-quality strategic initiatives while fostering trust and collaboration across diverse cultural and organizational contexts.

Passion for food safety, interest for innovation and new trends, with motivation for developing others — Drives continuous improvement in service offerings, inspires teams to embrace emerging technologies, and builds capabilities that strengthen our competitive position in the food safety market.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

You hold a degree or diploma in a relevant technical field (e.g., Food Science, Microbiology, Food Engineering, Quality-Safety) from a recognized institution.

You have 10-15 years of proven experience in Food Safety Services, ideally with a strong interest in business development, strategic partnerships, and regional growth leadership.
