Agri & Food Sales Specialist

Responsible mainly in Sales & Business Development by Generating new business opportunities and manage a pipeline of leads.

Identify prospective clients in the agriculture and food industries, including food producers, processors, exporters, importers, and retailers.

Promote and sell inspection services (e.g., quality assurance, compliance verification, certifications, audits) to potential clients.

Review of applicable contractual requirements.

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve set targets and objectives.

Client Relationship Management by Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective clients.

Provide tailored solutions based on clients' specific inspection needs and regulatory requirements.

Market Research & Intelligence and stay updated on trends and changes in agriculture and food safety regulations.

Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities and track competitor activity.

Sales Presentations & Negotiations and prepare and present compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.

Negotiate terms, pricing, and service agreements with prospective clients.

Collaboration with Internal Teams and work closely with the marketing, technical, and operations teams to ensure a smooth sales process and customer satisfaction.

Provide feedback to internal teams on customer needs, market conditions, and competitive insights.

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and contract details.

Provide regular updates to management on sales progress, achievements, and challenges.

Definition of Bureau Veritas interventions

Treatment of non-conformities / corrective actions

Review and appraisal of inspection procedures

Promotes Bureau Veritas service portfolio to clients

Respects security guidelines of Bureau Veritas and safeguards personal security in the working environment

Actively participates in the sharing of knowledge and information (Knowledge Management)

Qualifications :
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Business, or a related field.

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the agriculture, food safety, or inspection services sector.
Strong knowledge of agricultural and food industry standards, regulations, and certification requirements.
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and build long-term relationships.

Skills :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

Work Environment:
Ability to travel to client sites and trade events.
Regular office hours, with flexibility to accommodate client meetings and deadlines.
