Job Title: Sample Logistics Technician

Reports to (title): Sample Logistics Supervisor

Department: Sample Logistics / Customer Service

 

Basic Purpose: 

  • Supply receipt, preparation of supplies and shipping related duties for all clients in support of the Sample Logistics Team. Delivery of supplies in support of laboratory operations.
  • This position also includes administrative functions

 

Key Accountability/Responsibilities:

 

  • Move and prepare coolers
  • Unload trucks and receive shipments of supplies
  • Verify receipt of laboratory supplies against packing slips
  • Deliver supplies to laboratory
  • Maintain records of receipts in digital platforms
  • Collaborate with laboratory and purchasing staff to troubleshoot supply issues
  • Support movement and preparation of coolers for client orders
  • Prepare bottle orders requests and coordinate delivery of bottle orders
  • Provide support to the Bottle Preparation and Sample Logistics teams as needed
  • Ensure accuracy of results and data entry
  • Recognize routine and non-routine problems and escalate to the Supervisor
  • Ensure supply inventories are maintained
  • Proactively ensure overall satisfaction of client base (internal and external) including communication to supervisor and laboratory leaders as appropriate
  • Adhere to Bureau Veritas’ quality systems QA/QC, SOPs and external accreditation requirements.
  • Adhere to Bureau Veritas’ safety policies.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned

 

Skills and Knowledge: 

 

· High School Diploma

· Experience in a laboratory environment is considered an asset.

· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

· Excellent attention to detail

· Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).

· Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)

· Ability to work independently as well as engage others when required in escalation of concerns to meet the client needs or to best

manage client disappointments

· Energetic and keen with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing and adapting to

changes are required

 

Working Conditions:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in a laboratory environment is considered an asset.
  • Experience operating forklift is considered an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
