Hours Worked: Typically, Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week, 8am – 5pm
However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.
Position Summary:
The Product Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating assessing products to be sold at client stores.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Schedule Manager meetings
• Attend and schedule Project Review meetings for each Manager
• Attend and schedule Informal Product Reviews
• Initiate Protocol Reviews/Protocol Development and update Approved/Protocols
• Review Tech Spec and supporting documentation with a critical eye for accuracy, completeness, adequacy, adherence to standard or guardrails for each Brand, as well as regulatory compliance.
• Identify testing needed for claims
• Obtain quotes on needed testing
• Retains database of Tech Specs and Supporting Documentation
• Attend and schedule Formal Product Reviews and assures all samples, testing and documentation have arrived at all locations
• Keeps formal cutting retain for comparison to product submitted for either consumer validation or first production review
• Records notes, outcome, action items and responsibility from Formal Product Review
• Provide guidance, capabilities, pricing to meet objective of consumer validation in coordination with team
• Coordinates testing with suppliers (samples, location, etc.)
• Report results
• Reviews Tech Spec and PDF against what was provided for formal cutting, ensures accuracy and completion, makes notes, and corresponds with supplier and team to resolve by Approving or Rejecting
• Plan for review of product in anticipation of receipt date
• Reviews first production run samples against specification and formal cutting and/or sensory panel retains
• Complete the approval/rejection form and distribute to the team
• Maintain a running log of all items approved or rejected
• Maintain a library of all first production items approved
• Provides list of first production items along with UPC, spec and benchmark
• Conducts Six Month, Routine, Market, and Special Project Audits (Approximately 500/year) as needed
• Follow the guidelines set forth with clients and in the Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Comply with clients and Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
• Follows the guidelines set forth in by clients and the Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc Quality Manual and Safety / Chemical Hygiene Plan.
• Adhere to the requirements of the BV-CPS Quality System.
• Other duties as defined by Manager, department needs and workload.

Skills & Proficiencies:
• Proven Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint skills
• Experience with Pivot Tables is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and proficient problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Requires ability to work collaboratively with several groups to compile the data into an understandable format
• Ability to summarize the data to ensure no mistakes are made
• Be a proven multi-tasker that truly thrives on juggling multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
• Possess strong organizational skills with ability to quickly assess project status and communicate it effectively
• Experience in handling large quantities of confidential data
• Driven, energetic person coordinating activities among different members and vendors
• Prior audit experience is a plus

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Food Science or closely related field is preferred
• Minimum of 1 year(s) of experience with project management
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
Compensation Range:
$28-$32 an hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).
