Join Bureau Veritas in Denmark as Marine & Offshore HSSE Leader (part-time) for the Nordic region

As we continue to grow our marine & offshore activities, we are offering a unique opportunity to join our Nordic organization as HSSE Leader in a part time role for 30 hours per week with the possibility of full time. You would preferably be placed in our Copenhagen (Denmark) office. In this role you will join our regional management team, get the opportunity to hone your HSSE skills and gain new knowledge and experience in the maritime industry.

At Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore Nordics you will become part of the dynamic and highly international maritime community, where opportunities for personal and professional development and growth are provided. Your mission will be to implement, maintain and continually improve the HSSE management system, and take QHSSE management function responsibility in Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, and Norway.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Drive and supervise the development, implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the HSSE management system, programs and procedures,
  • Support managers on HSSE matters,
  • Monitor and report the achievement of HSSE KPIs,
  • Perform safety walks (office and field),
  • Investigate and follow-up HSSE incidents,
  • Cascade HSSE information,
  • Supervise management of personal protective equipment (PPE),
  • Validate environmental impact reporting,
  • Prepare and participate in HSSE internal and external audits,
  • Organize the HSSE management system review,
  • Coordinate with Head Office and North Europe Zone HSSE leadership.

 

What will make you successful in Bureau Veritas?

We imagine that you have a (Bachelor) degree in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management, with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a similar position.

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has deep knowledge of both ISO14001 and ISO45001 (qualification as ISO14001 and/or ISO45001 auditor is an advantage)
  • Is willing to follow a Lead Assessor course,
  • Is able to analyze and synthesize data,
  • Has IT tools and software knowledge,
  • Has working knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems,
  • Has strong communication skills,
  • Is proficient in spoken and written English, proficiency in one or more Scandinavian languages is an advantage.
  • Holds a valid residence and work permit for Denmark.

 

As a person, you are structured and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality, safety, health and environmental issues. You are committed to doing your job well and have a “can-do” attitude. It is important that you can work independently as well as in a team and have communication and presentation skills to motivate and inspire people.
