We are now offering you the opportunity to join our Nordic organization as Marine Surveyor based in the Copenhagen or Fredericia area (Denmark)and gain new knowledge and experience in the fast-developing maritime industry.
About the role
As a Marine Surveyor at Bureau Veritas, your role will be to ensure that ships and maritime materials, components, and equipment meet regulations and standards. You will work closely with customers, applying your technical and regulatory expertise hands-on through surveys, audits and inspections – supporting our clients on key subjects of quality, safety and environmental protection.
Your main tasks will include:
- Performing surveys and inspections of ships and maritime equipment in line with applicable rules and regulations
- Conduct audits and inspections (e.g., ISM/ISPS and MLC)
- Ensuring that all your reports are thorough, factual, and delivered on time
- Working closely with customers and colleagues to find the best solutions
- Keeping your skills up-to-date through relevant training and courses
About you
You are the one we are looking for if you:
- are a trained marine engineer, naval architect, chief engineer and/or ship officer, or have a similar maritime technical background.
- have several years of experience in a role where technical expertise and responsibility went hand-in-hand – either as a surveyor, superintendent, technical project manager, or similar.
- are structured, detail-oriented, and take pride in delivering high-quality work. You can work independently and take responsibility, but you are also a team player who supports your colleagues.
- are available to travel on short notice and accept short-term assignments abroad. You are prepared to work outside normal business hours and occasionally during weekends.
- are fluent in English, preferably also in Danish or other Scandinavian languages.
- you hold a valid residence and working permit and driving license for Denmark.
