As part of our growth ambitions and Future Shipping strategy, we are looking for a Future Shipping Team Commercialization Director who can transform our technical expertise into high-value commercial offerings that drive sustainable growth.
This strategic position combines commercial leadership, maritime expertise, and new service development within a rapidly evolving market.
Your Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Commercial Department, you will be responsible for transforming Future Shipping expertise into high-value services and growth opportunities for Bureau Veritas.
Develop and Structure the Future Shipping Portfolio
- Define and lead service offerings related to decarbonization, alternative fuels, cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and other high-value services.
- Structure market-ready offerings with appropriate delivery models, value propositions, and governance frameworks.
Accelerate Business Development
- Identify growth opportunities arising from regulatory, technological, and market developments.
- Support commercial teams and technical experts in converting opportunities into high-value projects.
- Develop targeted commercial approaches toward key stakeholders across the maritime and offshore sectors.
Lead an International Network of Experts
- Coordinate Future Shipping hubs across Europe, China, and Singapore.
- Foster collaboration between technical, commercial, and regional teams to ensure a consistent and effective approach.
Drive Performance and Value Creation
- Monitor key performance indicators related to commercial pipeline, revenue generation, profitability, and opportunity conversion.
- Establish governance mechanisms that ensure service quality, project efficiency, and value creation for clients and Bureau Veritas.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience within an international maritime, offshore, or energy environment.
- Proven experience in business development, service portfolio management, or the leadership of high-value activities.
Industry Expertise
- Strong understanding of the key transformation challenges facing the maritime sector, including decarbonization, alternative fuels, technological innovation, and regulatory developments.
- Ability to transform technical expertise into structured service offerings that address market and client needs.
- Understanding of classification, compliance, and risk management challenges within the maritime industry.
Leadership & Business Development
- Proven experience leading activities within an international and matrix organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior-level decision makers.
- Strong results-driven mindset with a focus on commercial growth and performance.
- Ability to bring together multidisciplinary teams around shared objectives.
