We are looking for a Senior Risk Modelling Engineer to join our offices based in La Défense (Paris area) or Saint-Herblain (Nantes area), France.
Join a dynamic team:Within the Research Department of our Technical Direction, you will join a team specialized in ship safety modelling and assessment.
In the context of maritime decarbonization, we aim to strengthen the team on topics related to the implementation of alternative energy solutions for propulsion (LNG, batteries, nuclear).
Your main missions:
As a Senior Engineer, you will:
- Contribute to and structure risk modelling and analysis activities, acting as a technical lead on complex projects,
- Support teams involved in the approval of innovative concepts and new technologies by addressing complex multiphysics challenges,
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal tools and methodologies,
- Participate in technical supervision and training of other engineers,
- Contribute to the evolution of our overall risk assessment offering.
Your strengths to succeed:
With a general engineering background, you have initial experience in R&D or engineering consultancy in the field of risk analysis.
You are looking to develop a technical career with concrete applications in innovation and maritime safety.
You have solid foundations in fluid mechanics (gas), thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion, hazard sciences, and risk analysis, acquired through your academic background or professional experience.
Experience in the marine & offshore or nuclear industries would be a plus.
Attentive to the needs of colleagues and stakeholders, you are comfortable tackling new challenges and adapting to evolving situations.
Your interest in safety, service-oriented mindset, autonomy, and strong interpersonal skills will contribute to your success.
Given the international environment of the role, you are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
You are willing to travel occasionally in France, Europe, and worldwide.
