The position is based at our headquarters in Courbevoie (Paris area, France).

 

Join a dynamic and international team: Working closely with the Marine & Offshore President, you will operate with the leadership team focused on growth drivers matching an ambitious plan across strategy, incubating new services and inorganic growth through M&A.

In a highly international and transversal environment, you will lead major strategic initiatives, drive key transformation and M&A projects, and contribute to the development of new services development in emerging and future growth drivers and technologies

 

Your main responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible to:

 

M&O Strategy Leadership:

Define, structure, and update the global strategic plan (qualitative vision and quantitative targets)

Monitor strategic initiatives across headquarters and regions

Prepare and present strategic reviews to the Executive Committee

 

Strategic Projects & M&A

Identify, assess, and prioritize external growth opportunities

Lead M&A operations (business case development, due diligence, integration)

Evaluate and validate strategic partnerships and cooperation initiatives

Contribute to Group-level initiatives (hydrogen, offshore wind, nuclear, digital, etc.).

 

Advanced Services Development

Define and deploy new offerings in emerging areas:

  • maritime cybersecurity
  • energy transition and decarbonization
  • digital services and smart shipping

Structure capabilities and support their global deployment

Demonstrate value creation and facilitate capability transfer across the network

 

Strategic Governance & Executive Support

Organize and structure governance routines (extended ExCom)

Prepare executive-level materials and support strategic decision-making

Represent the company in external events (conferences, panels, industry bodies)

 

Your strengths to succeed:

  • Education & Experience:

Master’s degree from an engineering school, business school, or equivalent

Minimum 10 years of experience within the maritime sector (classification, shipping, offshore, naval, marine renewable energy, maritime services)

Proven experience in strategy and/or M&A within this environment

Strong track record in leading strategic and transformation projects

  • Technical & Business Skills

Strong understanding of corporate strategy and international business development

Solid experience in M&A operations and business case development

Ability to navigate complex topics (innovation, digital, energy, cybersecurity)

  • Personal Skills

Strong leadership and influencing skills in a matrix organization

Strategic mindset, analytical thinking, and results orientation

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders

Autonomous, proactive, and accountable

  • Languages

Fluent in English (written and spoken)
