Join the Technical Department of Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore, within the Development Department based in La Défense (Paris area, France).
Within a team of experts responsible for developing and maintaining Bureau Veritas classification rules, you will contribute to the design and evolution of a software tool aimed at improving the monitoring of technical justifications and the update of ship classification rules.
Your main responsibilities:
Under the supervision of an experienced engineer, you will be involved in several key stages of a software design project.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Understanding and analyzing the team’s activities and business processes in order to identify data flows, interactions, and limitations of the current solution
- Drafting detailed functional specifications in collaboration with stakeholders and prioritizing identified requirements
- Designing the software architecture of the solution (data modeling, application structure, component interactions and behaviors)
- Using modeling tools such as UML or equivalent to structure and document the solution
- Participating in the prototyping phase to demonstrate key concepts and validate technical feasibility
- Contributing to the modernization and digitalization of internal tools used for managing and updating classification rules
You will collaborate with several technical teams within an international and multidisciplinary environment.
Your strengths to succeed
You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree (Engineering School or University) with a specialization in computer science, software engineering, or information systems.
Ideally, you have:
- Knowledge of software design and modeling (UML or equivalent)
- An interest in technical environments and business software development
- The ability to analyze processes and formalize functional requirements
- You demonstrate rigor, autonomy, and strong analytical skills.
- You also have good writing abilities, particularly in English. A good level of English is required.
