Senior Inspector - E&I

Bureau Veritas International is seeking an experienced Offshore E&I Inspector to join our dynamic offshore inspection team.
This is a critical role ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance during the Integrated Hull, Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (IHUC) phases of offshore projects.
You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections of electrical, instrumentation, and telecommunications equipment across multiple project stages, working collaboratively with contractors and sub-contractors in a fast-paced offshore environment.
Quaification and Certification:
- Engineering Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Electrical/ Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering.
- +15 years work experience in oil & gas industry.
- Candidate must hold valid COMPEX (Ex01-Ex04) Or IECEX (Ex01,Ex03, Ex04, EX06, EX07 &EX08) certification and preferably to have on the job training in various cable glands installation assembly, Instrument tube fittings (Swagelok/ Parker), Cable tray/ ladder installation (OGLAEND), Assembling of MCT (ROXTEC or HAWKE).
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead EPC contractor for the execution of inspection & testing activities of electrical, Instrumentation and telecom system of NFXP topside facilities in accordance with applicable project specification, company codes & standards and AFC drawings.
- Provide Company representation in conducting inspection of the site activities of EPC Contractor, vendor and its sub-contractors for all electrical, control and instrument installations.
- Review & approve EPC contractor’s/Vendors procedures & Inspection and Test Plans.
- Interface with EPC contractor quality team and project quality department on EPC contractor quality performance; and liaise with project construction team to ensure quality plans are being implemented and critical interfaces identified for topside equipment.
- Review the AFC work packages, project quality documents and ensure the ITP & quality control procedures for various E&I construction and pre-commissioning activities are in compliance with latest revision of project specification.
- Participates in weekly QA/QC meetings and addresses the concern of E&I quality related matters such close out of QOC, CAR and NCR.
- Lead weekly Flawless project walk down and prepare the quality concerns raised during the walkabouts and initiate closeout meetings.
- Coordinate with EPC contarctor’s quality team for the inspection readiness of system and lead all inspection & testing activities.
- Execute visual, close and detail inspection & verification of E&I apparatus for use in potential hazardous atmospheres in accordance with IEC 6007914 & 17 standards.
- Receipt inspection of incoming materials but not limited to, electrical, instrumentation and telecommunication equipments, cable drums, cable tray/ ladders & its accessories, impulse tubing & fittings, MCT blocks, etc as detailed in purchase orders and IRN.
- Carry out IR testing of power & control cables, bus bars,transformer primary & secondary winding, motors.
- Witness testing and Commissioning of all types of field Instruments, Fire & Gas Devices, clean Agent System for Buildings, Sounders, Manual Call Points, HIPPS and VESDA System.
- Witness loop and performance testing of control & shutdown loops such as direct acting, reverse acting, split range, cascade loops, cause & effect, interlock verification of Fire & gas & ESD.
- Conduct Electrical Tests such as functional test of Motor Control Centre Panels, Normal & Emergency Lighting Panels, HVAC Control Panel, Circuit breakers, AHU, ACCU, PFU, Steam Humidifier, No-load and Load Run test of Motors, Phase sequence check of power distribution, Grounding Resistance test, IR test, Earth Leakage test, Illumination Test.
- Actively participate in mechanical Completion walk downs, Ready for start-up safety Reviews, identification of Construction & Commissioning Punch list & carry over works
- Witness calibration of instruments, custody transfer metering skid, stroke/ seat leak testing of control & shutdown valves and analyzers & sampling system.
- Reviewing and approving of sub-contractor EX documents such as Ex Registers, Ex Check Sheets, Ex Certificate etc.
- Compilation of the Ex Register and associated documentation for the entire scope of Topsides equipment such as Ex Registers, Ex Check Sheets, Ex Certificate etc.
- Actively support company commitment to the project quality and safety requirements and always adhere to the system in place to meet the required quality & safety standards of the project deliverables.

Ensure the tracking of anomalies and non-conformities (NCR/CAR) performed by the Contractor/ Subcontractor and ensure correct follow-up activities, for verification of closure in accordance with contractual requirement.

Conduct construction quality surveillance for materials & preservations as per plan and submit report to QA/QC Lead.
