Surveyor / Inspector (Amusement Ride)

Minimum Required Qualifications
Education
Graduate Engineer – Mechanical/Electrical
Training
Specialty
 Quality Foundation Course
 Safety Awareness Course
 BV procedures
Technical Knowledge
 Application of codes and standards, project specifications and procedures
 Expert knowledge of EN13814, EN60204 and all relevant international standards
 Strong knowledge of international codes and standards such as BS, EN and ASTM
 Awareness of EIAC requirement as applicable for his/her scope.

Experience
 6 years (3 years of which in the Amusement ride inspection) within relevant discipline Bachelor of Science/Engineering Degree

Responsibilities / Authorities
Primary Functions
 Keep himself updated to the internal quality requirements.
 Follow quality and technical procedures.
 Make inspection-based decisions related to technical data.
 Ensures external calibration of equipment is within date prior to
 Inspection.
 Keep himself updated to the internal quality requirements.
 Perform inspection and prepare reports/certificates as per competency approved.

HSE Requirements
 Authorized to stop work if condition, situation, environment etc. is not safe to perform the activity (immediately inform to reporting person in the department for further guidance, if this authority is used).
 Accountable for Co-operating with others on health and safety matters, and not interfere with, or misuse anything provided for health, safety.
 Perform his duties in a safe environment and respond to emergency situations as required by local procedures.
 Submittal of required reports within time frame / as assigned.
 Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV Dubai HSE Policies, procedures and practices.
 Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation / fault / hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/ QHSE Manager.
 Reporting all incidents / Near Miss reporting as well as taking action whenever any unsafe act or condition is observed.
 Responsible to give feedback on HSE Issues for improvement as part of participation and consultation requirement.
 Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV Group HSE policies and procedures, clients HSE procedures and practices.
 Report immediately any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
 Report Immediately any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation.
 Use appropriate PPE at work area and be aware of: the risks appropriate PPE will control or minimize/ Report immediately in case the PPE is worn off or lost.
