Basic Purpose:

Bureau Veritas is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting operations by analyzing data, providing reports, and providing actionable insights. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop analytical skills and gain experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment..

 

 

Key Accountability/Responsibilities:

 

Financial Analysis & Reporting: Analyze income statements, assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.

Data Management: Gather and organize financial data from various sources, maintain spreadsheets and databases, perform data validation and reconciliation.

Administrative Support: Assist with month-end closing, maintain contract database, prepare supporting documentation.

General Support: Support Director of Operations with special projects and ad-hoc analysis, participate in team meetings and training sessions, help with presentations to clients or stakeholders, assist with process improvements and efficiency initiatives.

 

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Communication and teamwork abilities
  • Self-starter and problem-solving mindset
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or in related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks independently
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Professional and concise communication in written and oral form
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with an accounting program or enterprise resource planning application is a plus
  • Self-motivated, and able to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment

 

Additional Details:

High level of attention to detail

Ability to work overtime and shift work as required, including weekends

This position is non Hybrid and requires working in the office
