Mechanical Engineer

Bureau Veritas Iraq is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer based in Erbil for an on-site position.

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5 years of experience in mechanical systems for construction projects.
• Familiarity with mechanical design and site implementation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design tools; MS Office and project management software.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and safety standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple tasks 
• Provide dally site supervision during the mechanical construction works and completion of works, running in and testing of the equipment, and performance tests. 
• Ensure that mechanical work complies with relevant codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for mechanical-related activities.
•  Monitor project progress and generate technical reports and updates.
• Review operation and maintenance manuals and related controls delivered by the EPC and suppliers and provide comments or inputs as required to maintenance plans, and their application
• Preparation of Mechanical Work Site Supervision manual and QA/QC inspection forms and assistance to the work EPC for preparation of method statements and selection of instrument, materials and mechanical equipment.
