The Gas Field Developer is a leading player in the oil and gas industry, committed to developing innovative and sustainable energy solutions. We are embarking on an exciting new gas field development project and seek a highly experienced Project Director to lead this initiative from Front End Engineering Design (FEED) through to commissioning.

Job Summary: 

The Project Director will oversee the entire lifecycle of our gas field development project, ensuring successful delivery from the early FEED stage through to commissioning and handover. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the oil and gas sector, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects, particularly in gas field development and power plants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the project from FEED through to commissioning, ensuring all phases are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, risk management strategies, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and community groups.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Report regularly to senior management on project status, including financial performance, schedule adherence, and risk management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project performance and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management within the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive experience in gas field development projects, including FEED, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), and commissioning phases.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• PMP or similar project management certification is preferred.
