Senior Financial Analyst – Bureau Veritas
Position Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in Bureau Veritas's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, data integrity, and analytical support across the organization. This position bridges accounting operations with strategic financial insights, supporting both month-end/year-end closings and ongoing stakeholder needs.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Prepare comprehensive accounting records during month-end and year-end closing processes in accordance with established general accounting procedures
- Prepare, analyze, and consolidate revenue, expense, and balance sheet data in collaboration with operational teams
- Generate financial statements including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and specialized reports (staff expenses, sales tax, etc.)
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and conduct detailed account balance analyses
Data Analysis & Distribution
- Compile and analyze account information to support revenue, expense, and balance sheet entries
- Distribute revenue and costs across profit centers using analytical accounting methodologies
- Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses as required by management
Intercompany & Account Management
- Reconcile intragroup accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Analyze and resolve intercompany transaction discrepancies with counterpart entities
- Investigate and resolve accounting-related inquiries from internal departments and other Bureau Veritas companies
Internal Controls & Budget Support
- Assist in documenting and maintaining internal control procedures
- Support budget preparation processes and provide analytical input
Stakeholder Support
- Address financial concerns and inquiries from diverse stakeholders across the organization
- Manage daily email communications regarding accounting inquiries; research, resolve, and escalate as appropriate
- Execute ad-hoc analyses, research projects, and information requests from management
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 3–5 years of professional accounting experience
- Full-cycle accounting experience (essential)
- International accounting experience (preferred)
- Supervisory or team coordination experience (preferred)
Education & Technical Skills
- Accounting degree (essential)
- Advanced/Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (required)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
