To help drive the evolution of Bureau Veritas’s suite of sustainability services and contribute to division growth targets:
Responsibilities:
Strategy / Research & Development
Regional Subject Matter Support for all Sustainability Services in Asia-Pacific regions (Decarbonization & Cleaner Production, Responsible Sourcing and Responsible Products & Materials)
- Surveillance of sustainability topics in all areas including Regulations, Industry trends and Competition
- Engage with colleagues in Asia-Pacific regions, study new legislation, contribute to developing white papers, assess business impacts and opportunities for BV, educate BVCPS stakeholders
- Represent BV in key committees, industry association meetings and conferences, working groups, etc. & influence decisions in these forums to support BV's interest. Relay information obtained from attendance back to colleagues
- Speak or serve as moderator at industry or clients' events
- Recommend new services and work the high-level business case for Global SML (Subject Matter Leader) to decide
Technical sales support for strategic opportunities
- Engage clients to understand their objectives and their challenges and needs
- Support development of sales material for client meetings
- Work on RFPs/tenders (new and renewal) for programs in their region
- Educational role - interact on a regular basis with Key Account Management and Program Service Delivery Teams on all the programs to support understanding gap on CPS sustainability services
Technical Program Support
- Collaborate with Key Account Managers to understand client needs and program objectives
- Lead the business conversion follow through with the regions and collaborate with Program Service Delivery team to ensure smooth program launch
- Periodic technical engagement with clients to revise/enhance program elements
Others:
- Other duties as needed to support the Supply Chain Solutions, Global Business Line team and CPS clients in the rapidly evolving sustainability space
- Participate in continuous training/education to keep abreast of current services provided by BV CPS
Job Requirements:
- Degree holder in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or other related disciplines
- Knowledge of sustainability solutions related to science-based Targets Framework, and Climate related Disclosure/in contributing to industry working groups / in being part of projects by development organizations (giz, IFC, World Bank, WWF, etc.)
- Five (5) years of experience related to consumer products and/or supply chain sustainability solutions
- Knowledge of footwear, apparel and accessories manufacturing, or related industry in terms of production processes and impact on Sustainability aspects will be a plus
- New Product Development experience or PMP certified as a plus
- Must be able to work effectively with colleagues in a complex international organization across multiple time zones
- Must have an understanding and general competency in the areas of sustainability solutions relating to consumer products
- Must have, or be able to develop, senior management level relationships at major retailers and brands within the consumer products industries
- Must have an understanding of sourcing and supply chains and how BV CPS solutions relate
- Ability to interpret technical information and translate into common terminology
- Ability to drive results
- Excellent English verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

- Strong work ethic and excellent client service skills to ensure effective, responsive client interaction (internal and external)
- Ability to work well under pressure and balance several tasks simultaneously

- Must be personable and work well independently, as well as in a team environment
- Travel required for industry conferences, client meetings and internal meetings and client meetings
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications – including Excel and PowerPoint
