About the Role
We are looking for an HR professional who is passionate about creating exceptional employee experiences while providing hands-on HR support to leaders and employees across the organization.
As the HR Generalist, Employee Experience, you will partner with managers on employee relations, performance management, talent initiatives, and workplace concerns while also helping shape and enhance the onboarding experience for employees across Canada. This role combines traditional HR generalist responsibilities with employee experience, process improvement, and onboarding program management.

What You'll Do
HR Business Partnership & Employee Relations
- Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees.
- Advise on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Support employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Coach leaders on performance management, employee engagement, attendance management, and people leadership practices.
- Assist with performance improvement plans, corrective action processes, and talent initiatives.
- Support workforce planning, organizational changes, and annual HR programs.
Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Coordinate and support Bureau Veritas Canada's onboarding program.
- Facilitate engaging virtual orientation sessions for new employees.
- Partner with managers to deliver effective onboarding and integration experiences.
- Maintain onboarding communications, resources, templates, and training materials.
- Gather feedback from new hires and managers and identify opportunities to improve the employee experience.
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives throughout the employee lifecycle.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate HR and onboarding processes.
- Partner with HR, HRIS, and IT teams on process improvements and system enhancements.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Analyze onboarding and employee experience metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in HR projects focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist, HR Advisor, or similar role.
- Experience supporting employee relations matters and coaching leaders.
- Experience facilitating onboarding, training, orientation, or employee development programs.
- Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- CHRP or CPHR designation (or working toward designation).
- Experience with HRIS systems, workflow automation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Exposure to U.S. employment practices or multi-jurisdictional organizations.
- Bilingual in English and French.
Travel
Occasional travel within Canada for meetings, onboarding events, training, and site visits.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 CAD + Bonus
