Director of Marketing – The Americas (North, South & Central)

Reporting to: VP of Marketing & Sales, Bureau Veritas The Americas

Location: Houston

Mode: Hybrid (with regional travel as needed)

Summary:

  • As Director of Marketing – The Americas, you will be the strategic architect of regional brand expansion, industry penetration, and new business unit (NBU) growth across North, South, and Central America. You will lead the development of market-specific marketing strategies that accelerate revenue, amplify Bureau Veritas’ leadership in high-potential sectors, and establish new service lines — all while ensuring alignment with global brand standards and regional sales objectives.
  • This role is pivotal in transforming market opportunities into scalable, profitable growth engines — directly supporting the VP of Marketing & Sales in executing the region’s commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Market Expansion & Industry Growth

  • Identify, prioritize, and activate high-growth industries across The Americas (e.g., Energy Transition, ESG, Food Safety, Infrastructure, Digital Trust, Mining, Pharma).
  • Design and execute industry-specific go-to-market (GTM) strategies that position BV as the trusted partner for emerging regulatory and commercial needs.
  • Lead marketing initiatives for New Business Units (NBUs) — from concept validation to launch, including messaging, positioning, demand gen, and sales enablement.

Brand Leadership & Regional Differentiation

  • Translate global brand strategy into locally resonant narratives that reflect regional market dynamics, regulatory environments, and client pain points.
  • Build and amplify BV’s thought leadership across The Americas through content, events, media, and digital channels.
  • Own regional brand perception metrics and ensure consistent, compliant messaging across all touchpoints.

Demand Generation & Sales Enablement

  • Partner with Sales Leadership to design targeted ABM, digital, and event campaigns that drive pipeline in priority industries and NBUs.
  • Develop sales collateral, battle cards, case studies, and value propositions tailored to regional buyer personas.
  • Leverage marketing automation (HubSpot/Salesforce) and analytics to measure campaign ROI and optimize spend.

Cross-Regional Alignment & Leadership Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary marketing liaison to the VP of Marketing & Sales, providing strategic insights, performance dashboards, and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with Country Marketing Leads (US, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, etc.) to ensure regional execution aligns with overarching goals.
  • Coordinate with Global Marketing for brand governance, campaign templates, and tooling — while adapting for local relevance.

Compliance & Ethical Standards

  • Ensure all marketing activities adhere to Bureau Veritas’ Code of Ethics, local advertising laws, and industry regulations (e.g., FDA, ANVISA, EPA, OSHA, ISO/IEC standards).
  • Work with Legal and Compliance teams to validate claims, especially in highly regulated verticals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles (Director/Head level).
  • Proven success launching new products, services, or business units in complex, multi-country environments.
  • Deep understanding of North, South, and Central American markets — including cultural, regulatory, and economic nuances.
  • Strong experience in industrial, professional services, or TIC sectors (Testing, Inspection, Certification).
  • Expertise in digital marketing, ABM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to lead matrixed teams and manage external agencies across regions.
  • Fluency in English; Spanish or Portuguese strongly preferred.

Preferred:

  • Experience with global brand governance and regional adaptation.
  • Knowledge of ISO, IEC, ASTM, or local regulatory frameworks (e.g., ANVISA, INMETRO, NOMs).
  • Track record of working with Sales Leadership to drive revenue growth.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets of $2M+.
